And although it's easy to capture and create impulses from algorithmic reverb plugins, you miss out on the modulation. But you can spend ages finding the right one (I know I do). Having a ton of impulses does somewhat get around this limitation. But convolution reverbs lack the controls found on most algorithmic reverbs. Some of the free impulses on offer are truly superb. and included some pretty pictures (for those whose attention tends to wane after a paragraph or two)īefore I get started, I'd like to say that Convolution reverbs certainly have their advantages. I know it's long, but I have tried to make it interesting.
